At Datek Next we bring together expertise and extensive experience in delivering development services across programming, hardware and software design. Our primary focus is providing innovative solutions to the power, energy, defence and space industries.

We are looking for candidates with a few years of experience (3+) in electronics development. We need expertise in both analogue and digital electronics design. If you are also skilled in PCB layout, it is an advantage but not a requirement. We are looking for a forward-thinking developer who thrives in a dynamic environment and adapts easily to new challenges.

You will either work on-site as part of our client’s team or from our secure facilities in Lillestrøm. The position requires that you can obtain security clearance in Norway and NATO. Read more about security clearance at www.nsm.no

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Development of electronics for customer-specific solutions
  • Participate in the architecture process, schematic design, and PCB layout
  • Participate in development team other at our own premises or at our slient's sites
  • Documentation, testing, and customer follow-up
  • Prototyping and manual assembly of small prototype series in the lab
  • Design for manufacturing (DFM), planning of production tests (DFT), and follow-up of volume production.

Desired qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience. Preferably a master's degree, but relevant experience can compensate for lack of education.
  • Experience with analogue, digital, power, and RF design
  • Versatile experience with various technologies
  • Fluent communication in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken, is a prerequisite.
  • Experience with CE certification and testing for safety, EMC, and radio.
  • Experience with using lab equipment for testing and modifying electronics.
  • Experience with using Altium or similar tools. Knowledge of design principles for manufacturability and testability.
